Coldplay – Strawberry Swing [Behind the Scene]

Karena penat dengan aktivitas kampus dan pekerjaan, aku pun iseng buka-buka kaskus hingga akhirnya menemukan video dari Coldplay yang judulnya Strawberry Swing:

Video ini dibuat oleh perusahaan yang bernama Shynola yang didirikan oleh orang-orang kreatif yaitu Kentworthy, Jason Groves, Chris Harding dan Gideon Baws (uda meninggal di usia 33 tahun). Video ini bercerita tentang seorang pahlawan (kayak suparman) yang menolong seorang gadis dari ancaman monster tupai. Teknik yang digunakan pada pembuatan video klip adalah stop-motion yang dibuat menggunakan kapur tulis di jalanan kota Los Angeles. Ck ck ck… mantaabb…

Untuk mempersiapkan pengambilan gambar video klip ini mereka membuat tiga versi yaitu membuat animasi sederhana untuk menentukan waktu dan editing. Setelah itu animasi yang dibuat lebih detail lagi. Gerakan Chris Martin (vokalis sekaligus model utama video klip) telah dimodelkan menggunakan komputer grafis terlebih dahulu. Dan yang terakhir adalah pengambilan gambar frame-by-frame. Read more >>
